Today is a sad day for our family. Our wonderful Mother and Grandmother left us one year ago. It doesn't seem like that long ago and other times it feels like a lifetime since we got to put my arms around her and tell her how very much we love her. I know she is happy now that she is with her sweetheart. Please remember Ardelle today, we know you all loved her too.

Wonderful Day at the Temple

Saturday, September 19th, 2009 was one of the most awesome days of my life. I went to the Jordan River Temple and received my endowments. I was also sealed to my parents for eternity. I felt as though they both had their hands on my shoulders while I was being sealed to them. It was truly a very special day. I want to thank my family, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends for helping me to celebrate this special time with me. I look forward to many more sessions at the temple helping others receive their blessings.

Finally!

Hallelujah! Scott was finally baptized on June 20th. His four wonderful Great Uncles assisted Scott in becoming a member of the LDS church. After we assembled back at our condo for lunch. I know Scott's grandmother would have been so proud of him.

Way to go DAN!!!

Dan was named BCI's Terminal Agency Coordinator of the Year May 12, 2009. He has worked very hard at doing a great job for Granite School District Police for over 15 years. He has taken the responsibility of being the TAC seriously and has done an outstanding job. This was awarded to him at the Annual BCI TAC Conference in St. George. His Lt. John De la Cruz and Dan's family surprised him by being there for the presentation. Dan, you deserve this recognition and more.

Special Olympics

Well we have great news and not so great news. Scott's church ball team was eliminated during the second round. So now Scott was available for Bowling. Friday he bowled singles and got 4th place and then today he bowled with another athlete and two adults on what is called a Unified team. Well they did very well and took the GOLD medal. Of course do you think I can remember where I left my camera? No not me so I will hopefully find it and get pictures of his team and post them when they play the state games on the 27th of March. Scott will be raising money for Special Olympics at Harmons March 28th. He will be dishing up Rootbeer Floats from 11am to 1pm. It is the Harmons at 5300 South and Redwood Road. If you get a chance stop by and help support our athletes.

Watch out NBA here comes Scott

As everyone knows Scott LOVES basketball! Well he is playing church ball and loving it. His team is going to the regional playoffs and on the 21st of February Scott made the game winning three point shot!!!! Of course I wasn't there to see it as I was setting up for Mom's celebration, but I think he had an angel on his shoulder watching for me. Way to go Scott! Now a dilemma....should Scott continue with his church ball team or bowl with Special Olympics???

Awesome Day

Today our parents were finally sealed to each other in the Jordan River Temple. I am sure Mom and Dad were there as they have waited for so long to be together forever. We would like to thank Uncle Jack and Aunt Barbara who stood in for our parents today. We love them both very much and appreciate them doing this for us. Uncle Don and Aunt Diane both went through the Temple today as well as our cousin Lori Aikin. After the session at the temple we had a luncheon and got to spend some time with our family and friends.
