Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our family to yours. Things have been different this year and no,I did not get the Christmas cards sent (sorry). We would like to thank our wonderful extended family and many friends for all of your love and support. We are doing better than I thought we could thanks to all of you, we know that Mom is happy and with her sweetheart once again. We still have a hard time believing this is actually true, just doesn't seem real at times. Let's all hope 2009 proves to be a better year for all of us. Hug those you love and never miss a chance to let someone know that you love them. Have a great Holiday!

Finally home

Yesterday we finally received mom's ashes and brought them home. She will reside with dad until we decide to set them free. It is comforting to know where her earthly remains are and we have a place to go and grieve. I know it probably sounds weird, but I can visit with my parents with out having to leave the house. It looks as though we will hold her celebration of life toward the end of February. A definite date is coming, please keep in touch for details.

One Day at a Time

It is now the 10th of December, and we all are still here and holding it together. I didn't think we would make it without my mom, but so far we seem to be getting by. Mom wanted to be creamated like my dad, so we should have her ashes home by the end of the week. We will hold a celebration of her life at a later date. Please let us know that you would like to attend and we will make sure you get an invitation. Her obituary should be in the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News on Thursday the 11th. For those of you out of state or would rather see it in color online the trib address is sltrib.com. Thank you all for your love and support of Dan, Scotty and I. We never realized just how much we were loved. Please know that we love you too. As Christmas approaches please remember Mom and how she just loved this time of year, just think of the awesome birthday party she gets to attend this year.

Going Home!

Hooray!! Yahooty!! Mom is well enough to go home today! She has been just awesome through this hernia surgery on Tuesday Dec. 2, 2008. She was found to have 3 hernias of biblical proportion (the surgeon was not expecting this), so this meant incisions (large ones) instead of laproscopic procedure. But mom is a trooper and is handling her pain well and doing just great.
